Fires Mountain Self Catering Lodge
Fires Mountain Lodge offers self catering log cabins, located against the slopes of the Water berg Mountains, on the R511, over looking the Hartbeespoort dam and Magaliesberg Mountains. There is direct access to all the activities the area has to offer.
There is a swimming pool with 180 degree views, situated in a well established sub tropical garden. The swimming pool is large and positioned in between the rocks. Children using the pool must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. There is also a sundeck with a braai area and superb views of the village dam and mountains with breath taking sunsets through out the year.
The lodge has 6 rustic wooden, open plan self catering chalets. Each chalet is basic equipped and sleeps either two, four or eight quests. We can also accommodate groups, up to 22 people at a cost of R8,800.00 per day. Thus booking all 6 chalets.
Over 100 species of birds have been identified on the property. Occasionally a troop of baboons or monkeys visit the garden, and sometimes at night one can hear the jackals howling.
The surrounding area has activities such as restaurants for breakfast/ lunch or supper/ Jasmyn the windmill/ Pick & Pay/ Checkers/ Spar/ Cable way/ Elephant sanctuary/ Monkey sanctuary/ De Wild Cheetah and Wild Life Research centre/ Crocodile farm/ Hot air ballooning/ Boat cruises on the dam/ Snake and Animal park/ Chameleon Village/ and many many more.
OR Thambo International airport is one hours drive from us, Lanseria airport 25 minutes and Sun City, The Valley of the waves an hours drive.
